Mr Graeme Rogers is a fellowship-trained glaucoma and retinal surgeon and treats diseases of the optic nerve and the the back of the eye. After attending high school in Cape Town, South Africa, he studied medicine at the University of Cape Town in 1997.

After graduation, he spent the next eight years specialising in clinical and surgical ophthalmology. Thereafter, he subspecialised as glaucoma fellow in Melbourne, Australia at the prestigious Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in 2014. He subsequently extended his training treating complex retinal disease for two years in Dublin at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital. He has also visited renowned international units in four continents to master further technologically-advanced surgeries in his areas of expertise. He has published 14 papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at numerous international conferences.

Mr Rogers is passionate about outreach eye surgery and teaching in indigent communities, having performed thousands of cataract and glaucoma surgeries in more than 30 hospitals in sub-Saharan Africa for aid organisations.
